Smithstine Copper has been an evolving labour of love for me. I have redesigned the website and packaging several times as my copper jewelry company evolves.
I wanted to boil the business down to it's most important elements for the identity. I chose to feature the jeweler's saw because each piece is meticulously sawn by hand. The metallic ink finish worked nicely to symbolize the copper material.
The website needed to inform people quickly of upcoming shows, as well as the names and prices of the jewelry. A clean and easy to navigate interface was very important.
Over the past few years of experiencing people interacting with my promotional material, website and packaging I have learned a lot about realistic solutions. Cost and availability can be a huge factor in designing for small businesses.
